About me:

I have been helping people overcome personal challenges and anxieties as a qualified counsellor for more than 18 years. I am a fully accredited with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and have qualifications in psychology, humanistic counselling, CBT and EMDR.

My approach to therapy is with a warm and accepting attitude. I will endeavour to accompany you on a journey of self understanding, gently guided by my years of professional experience, training and philosophical underpinning. I am a deeply compassionate person, driven to help you find ways to live a whole hearted and peaceful life.

I help people through times of change, emotional pain and uncertainty with compassion and humility. This approach is grounded in a belief of a shared humanity; that we will all struggle at some point in our lives. With my facilitation, cultivating understanding and self compassion will help ease the burden of difficult emotions.

I have worked with many people suffering with depression, anxiety, loss and grief, have struggled with addictions and who have experienced trauma. I am experienced in working with people who experience the world through a neurodiverse lens, such as ADHD and Autism, including late diagnosis. I also work with people who simply feel stuck and are not sure why.

During therapy there may be uncertainty. Previously hidden emotions sometimes emerge. I can support you through this with an authentic, down to earth presence that helps people feel safe and secure.

The therapy I provide is bespoke to your needs and I can tailor our work accordingly. This is because I have an extensive and varied training taking into account social, biological and psychological impacts of your lived experience. We can discuss your own specific needs at our initial consultation.
